North Dakota State Library 2010 Spring Workshops
The 2010 North Dakota State Library Spring Workshops are coming together and there’s some great programming in the line-up! This year’s workshops will be held in Fargo on April 12th and 13th, and in Bismarck on April 15th and 16th.
Sally Gardner Reed, Executive Director of the Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (formerly Friends of Libraries U.S.A.) will present an all-day workshop titled “Creating and Energizing Friends Groups”. Other workshop topics include: utilizing social media tools, summer reading programs, and round table discussions on various library related topics. Technology workshops will feature representatives from EBSCO, Gale, and the ND State Library who will demonstrate and explain some of the new Online Library Resources. A new program being added this year is a panel discussion by community leaders, which will give valuable ideas about increasing your library’s role in the community.
