Copyright: Even the Loons Are Licensed
Don’t let copyright drive you loony. Learn what copyright covers (and what it doesn’t), how to make fair-use decisions, good practices for electronic reserves and institutional repositories, how to take advantage of various open-content movements in your library, and what legislative and cultural developments to keep an eye out for.
This 3.5 hour workshop on copyright for health sciences librarians will be conducted by Dorothea Salo, Digital Repository Librarian for the University of Wisconsin system’s digital repository MINDS@UW (http://minds.wisconsin.edu). The workshop will take place during the morning of Friday, June 5 at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN. The Health Sciences Libraries of Minnesota will hold its Annual Meeting during the afternoon. Beverages, a light continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
