We hope to see you at this years Silent Auction in Rochester,
October 6th-8th, at the Mayo Civic Center.
Last year we raised more than $8,000.00 which will be used to support such programs as:
- the MILE Leadership Institute for emerging library leaders
- small enhancement grants for libraries to help them create programs
- Minnesota Book Awards author programs at libraries
How you can help:
Donate
Every year we rely on the donations from you, your peer network and hundreds of businesses in Minnesota. Please print off the Silent Auction contribution form to donate. Completed forms can be sent to the MLF address or fax number listed below. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. The Minnesota Library Association Foundation Tax Identification Number is 41-1833179.
Volunteer
The Silent auction COULD NOT RUN without all our dedicated volunteers! We had over 20 that helped us out last year with organizing, envelope stuffing , setup, schmoozing, displaying and cleanup. And that did not include the "behind the scenes work" done by staff who begged and borrowed and brokered deals for solicitations from the local businesses. No skills necessary. We offer flexible hours, a friendly atmosphere and lots of time to peruse the auction tables.
Bid, and keep bidding
Without you bidding, the auction would just be a high end yard sale. A variety of items in every price range make it possible for everyone with a big or small pocketbook to participate. and it's no fun without a bidding war. Bid, Keep bidding and bid often.
