ARLD Board Meeting, Sept 25, 2003

Rochester Civic Center

Present: James Caufield,  Karen Docherty, Laurel Haycock, Julie Kelly, Jane Ann Nelson, Jim Newsome

Kelly called the brief meeting to order.  She presented the Board with a tentative agenda for the October 10^th meeting, and it was accepted.

Julie can no t attend the MLA Board meeting on October 17^th. Jane Ann Nelson volunteered to attend in her place.

The conference was discussed.  All agreed that the ARLD sponsored sessions were worthwhile.  The Business meeting was also discussed, and again all agreed that much useful information was gleaned from the 30 members who attended.

Evaluations for the individual presentations will be compiled and synthesized by each session’s introducer.  Then the results will be sent to Jim for final synthesis.  Also, presenters will be sent formal thank you letters by their Board introducers, who will also include some positive quotes from their evaluations.

No one came forward to run for ARLD office at the business meeting.  A no minating committee will be an agenda item at the October meeting.

The next meeting will be on October 10^th in the Metronet Office from 2:45-4:45 .
