Pioneerland Library System seeks an Assistant Director with successful public library experience to aid in the supervision and management of 32 rural libraries. Duties will include, but are not limited to, supervising staff, grant writing, consulting libraries, training, strategic planning, programming and assisting governing board of 36 members.

Candidates must have MLS degree from an accredited library school, valid driver’s license, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and proven skills in writing and oral communications and experience and knowledge of automated library systems and PC software.  Annual (2008) salary range: $44,595-$64,209.  Competitive benefit package includes Minnesota  Retirement (PERA).

Pioneerland Library System is a consolidated library system of 32 libraries in 9 counties. Headquarters are in Willmar, Minnesota --90 miles west of  Minneapolis/St. Paul.
