Library Director

Wabasha Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking applications for the position of full time director.

The director is responsible for the organization, management, and development of the library services as set forth by the Wabasha Public Library Board of Trustees.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree in Library Science and 3 years experience as Librarian or
2. Minnesota Librarian Certification plus Bachelor degree and 3 years experience as Librarian

Required Knowledge:

• English Language and mathematical skills with reasoning ability is essential.
• Working knowledge of MARC records and cataloging standards.
• Working knowledge of Sirsi-dynix Horizon and OCLC Connection .
• Working knowledge of computer systems and software applications.
• Working knowledge of accounting and finance practices preferred.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working with boards and organizations.
• Knowledge of public library laws.

The Wabasha Public Library is a facility of 5,500 sq feet. with a material stock of 26,490. The library has 3 part-time employees, an annual circulation of 41,000, and budget of $154,867.
