Participants spent their days learning about leadership styles and perspectives, hearing from leaders in the library and business communities, discovering strengths, and setting goals. Evenings allowed time to relax around the fire, get to know one another, and enjoy live entertainment with Comedy Sportz.

The MILE Retreat is just the beginning of their leadership experience. Over the next year and a half, participants will meet with a mentor who will help them move toward meeting their professional goals; participate in an MLA committee, program, or initiative; foster professional relationships with other librarians around the state; and plan the 2011 Leadership Institute.

MILE 09 Participants
