Academic and Research Libraries

PURPOSE: The aim and purpose of this Division is to identify and seek solutions to mutual problems on the academic and research library level of librarianship; to improve services; to encourage development of librarians; and to stimulate cooperation among libraries.

ARLD can help you network, grow, and contribute.

If you’re looking for a new way to meet colleagues, build your leadership skills, or contribute to your profession, consider volunteering for ARLD. The board meets monthly. Activities include planning conference programs and smaller member events, and finding new ways to serve and connect library staff throughout the state. The Academic and Research Libraries Division is a division of the Minnesota Library Association, and is also the ACRL chapter in Minnesota.

To express your interest, please contact Kristen Mastel (meye0539@umn.edu).

Please feel free to contact any current ARLD board member with questions or comments.
